Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A representative for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
